The Equine Rug Service You Can Trust….

We are passionate about horses and their welfare.
With over 40 years of experience, we have specialised in laundering, waterproofing, and repairing a wide variety of horse rugs and related equipment.
As lifelong equestrians, we initially began by cleaning our own rugs, subsequently extending our services to friends and family before investing in professional-grade equipment.
Our reputation has grown steadily, culminating in the establishment of The Rug Barn as a professional enterprise in February 2023.
We offer a comprehensive collection and delivery service for livery yards, stud farms, tack shops, and private owners throughout the East Midlands.
We offer a variety of equestrian laundry services to meet your needs.
Our rugs are carefully washed in large, specialised commercial machines designed to handle all kinds of horse rugs, regardless of their wear. We use high-quality equine laundry products for both cleaning and proofing, which not only cleans but also restores the insulation and water resistance of your rugs. If a breathable waterproof rug begins to lose its repellency, it can trap condensation inside, causing your horse to feel damp, cold, and uncomfortable.
Our services encompass cleaning, repair, and re-proofing, ensuring each item is handled with the utmost care.
Additionally, we take particular pride in our quarantine procedures, guaranteeing that all horse and rider equipment is thoroughly disinfected and certified prior to international travel.
We are fully equipped and insured to undertake all aspects of equine laundry and repair services, and we operate seven days per week.
